I offers extensive experience in various areas of law to ensure you receive the best, most personable, representation possible.

Alejandro J. Moreno, Esq. is admitted to practice in all Florida state courts and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida. Since joining the Florida Bar in 2019, his career has bridged litigation, land use, and regulatory practice, with experience spanning both private law firms and state government service.
He began as a litigator with Rumberger Kirk & Caldwell, Galloway Johnson Tompkins Burr & Smith, and Fowler White Burnett, where he represented insurers, corporations, and property owners in liability, property, and commercial disputes. These roles sharpened his command of discovery, motion practice, and courtroom advocacy, while instilling the procedural discipline and strategic approach that continue to define his work.
Alejandro later focused on land use, zoning, and environmental matters with Bercow Radell Fernandez Larkin & Tapanes, advising developers and property owners on entitlements, comprehensive planning, permitting, and regulatory compliance before municipal boards and agencies. Earlier, as a Florida Gubernatorial Fellow with the Department of Business and Professional Regulation, he worked on policy development, regulatory oversight, and state licensing reform, gaining firsthand knowledge of government operations and their impact on businesses and professionals.
Today, Alejandro’s practice draws on this combination of trial experience, regulatory insight, and land use expertise. He represents clients in litigation and transactional matters, guides real estate projects through zoning and entitlement processes, and counsels businesses and property owners on compliance with local and state law, providing informed, results-oriented representation.

At The Moreno Firm, I prioritize accessibility, professionalism, and strong advocacy to deliver the best possible outcomes for my clients.
Q: If someone sues me after an accident, will my insurance cover everything?
A: Not always. Your insurance will typically cover claims up to policy limits, but plaintiffs often push beyond that. That’s where strong defense strategy matters — to protect both your coverage and your personal exposure.
How I can help: I have years of experience defending individuals and insurers in liability cases, and I work to minimize exposure while keeping cases efficient.
Q: Can I be sued personally if my business is an LLC or corporation?
A: Generally, no — one benefit of forming an entity is shielding yourself personally. But courts sometimes “pierce the corporate veil” if they think the business wasn’t run properly.
How I can help: I defend business owners in disputes and also structure strategies to keep personal and business assets protected.
Q: What happens if the city denies my zoning application or variance?
A: You can appeal, or in some cases, seek judicial review. It’s not necessarily the end of the road — but it does require careful strategy.
How I can help: I’ve represented developers and owners in zoning boards and appellate forums, and I can guide you through the next steps if your project hits a wall.
Q: Do I need a lawyer before buying property for development?
A: Yes — at least for due diligence. Issues like zoning restrictions, environmental permits, and utility access can make or break your project.
How I can help: I conduct thorough due diligence reviews so you know exactly what you’re buying into, before you commit.
Q: What’s the difference between a real estate agent and a real estate lawyer?
A: Agents help you find or sell property. Lawyers make sure the deal is legally sound, contracts are enforceable, and your rights are protected. Both roles matter, but only a lawyer can spot and resolve legal pitfalls.
How I can help: I handle contract review, negotiation, and title issues so your investment is secure from day one.
Q: What if my neighbor is encroaching on my property?
A: Property line disputes are common — sometimes it’s a fence, sometimes construction. These cases often turn on surveys and legal boundaries.
How I can help: I resolve property rights disputes through negotiation or litigation, always aiming for a solution that protects your ownership without unnecessary costs.
Q: How do I challenge a government agency’s decision against me?
A: Most agency actions have built-in appeal processes, and sometimes they can be reviewed in court. Timing and procedure are critical — waiting too long can waive your rights.
How I can help: With my background in state government, I know how agencies operate and can challenge unfair decisions strategically.
Q: Can my HOA really fine me for every little thing?
A: HOAs and condos can enforce rules, but they have to do so fairly, within their governing documents, and under Florida law. Excessive or selective enforcement may be challenged.
How I can help: I represent homeowners in disputes against associations and work to balance power where rules are applied unfairly.
